13. COACHES
13.1 Registration – Coach Programme
Only coaches in possession of the “WKF Accredited Coach” level have access to the “WKF
Certified Kumite/Kata Coach Exam”.

The online registration to take part in the “Accredited Briefing & Kata/Kumite Coach
Exam” will open on 27 August 2025 and will close on 12 November 2025.
13.1.1 Fees
Please be reminded that the fees for the Program for WKF Coaches are as follows:
Briefing for “Accredited Coach” level (new application or license renewal): 300 EUR
Examination for “Certified Kumite Coach” (new application or license renewal): 350 EUR
Examination for “Certified Kata Coach” (new application or license renewal): 350 EUR
All payments must be made through Sportdata platform via PayPal.

13.2 Registration – Coaches officiating in competition
The online registration for coaches intending to participate in the Karate World
Championships Cairo 2025, 27 August 2025 and will close on 12 November 2025.
All registrations for the Karate World Championships Cairo 2025 must be processed online.
No registration will be accepted after the official online registration deadline.
Onsite registration will not be accepted.

13.3 Specific information for PARA-KARATE Coaches and personal assistants
The minimum WKF Coach certification to performer as Para-Karate Coach is the WKF Certified
Kata Coach (level 2 of the WKF Coach Programme).
Maximum of three coaches can be registered for Para-Karate per Nation.
Every Para-Karate athlete can be accompanied by a personal assistant during their
performance in the field of play.
Coaches and assistants accompanying Para-Karate athletes MUST register together with their
delegation at the onsite registration session only.
All athletes must use the same sportswear and equipment for classification as they use during
competitions.
Concerning athletes with visual impairments, no extra testing will be performed during the
classification session. Nevertheless, the athletes have to show up to the classification with the
documents and equipment mentioned above. Extra points will be given based on the Medical
Diagnostic Form.

WKF Para-Karate Classifier’s Education Seminar: from October 2nd to October 9th.
Para Karate Classifiers Education Programme Level 1: from September 7th to October 2nd.
14. MEDIA AND PRESS
14.1 Media Accreditation
Media professionals can register to request press accreditations until November 20 through
the online registration form.
Press accreditation can only be given to professional journalists working for a media and
having proof of their credentials. The media passes may be collected at the accreditation desk
at the venue during the competition days and also at Registration Day.
14.2 Media Access
Access to media work areas is restricted to credentialed journalists and photographers
covering the event. Accredited journalists will only have access to the designated Media areas
(Press Tribune, Mixed Zone).
14.3 TV Production
The WKF owns all the rights pertaining to TV issues of the Karate World Championships.
The Karate World Championships will be broadcast on a number of TV and media platforms.
The competition will be available to a worldwide viewing audience through a high-quality TV
production which will be provided to TV networks around the world following the agreements
of the WKF with these networks.

Due to these agreements VIDEO RECORDING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCE.
No credentialed media may take video footage (including digital) without prior written consent
from the WKF. Only TV rights holders will be allowed to film and record footage of the
competition. The WKF reserves the right to revoke credentials for unprofessional behaviour or
conduct.
14.4 YouTube Streaming
The eliminations of the 2025 Karate World Championships will be available by streaming on
WKF YouTube Channel
Additionally, the medal bouts will also be available by streaming on the WKF YouTube Channel
limited to those countries without TV rights.
In the countries where TV networks have acquired the rights to distribute the event, the medal
bouts will be available only on the listed TV channels.
14.5 Media Day
The WKF will host a Media Day at the Registration Area on 26th November 2025, from 10:00h
to 17:00h. The photos of all the participating athletes will be taken by the WKF Media Team at
the Media Day.
This activity is of the utmost importance for the promotion and popularity of the event on social
media; therefore, the WKF encourages all participating athletes to take part in this Media Day
